speedtest isn't necessarily accurate, a while ago it told me i had a 15mbps download speed when in reality i've only ever seen it top out at 2.4mbps...

Poor King.
Get Knology.
If they even have it where you live.
I don't know of it existing outside of East AL or West GA.

This is with 10+ internet sucking machines going on at all once. Serious.
Dad's Computer, My Computer, Mom's Laptop, Mom's Second Laptop, Google TV, Apple TV, Wii, PS3, and 3 WiFi phones.

Are you a wizard.

That speed is not your internet bandwidth. It's the bandwidth of your LAN, specifically your WiFi. Don't worry about what it says because odds are you don't have an 18mbps connection, let alone 54.

on a good day I get ~300kb/s, on a bad day ~30kb/s

Also, all of your speed tests are megabits not megabytes. Which is a pretty big difference. I have no clue why they insist on using bits rather than bytes when anything you actually download stuff with uses bytes.

Even then I get up to 2b/s. :)

Nope, just got a dad that hates slow internet and complains to Comcast. :)
