It says "Disabled by Administrator"

Yeah you're forgeted.
No other programs are running, anyway.

No other programs are running, anyway.
Just because they're not in the taskbar doesn't mean they're not running :U

There could be a huge mofo virus eating like 300MB of RAM right now :U

It says "Disabled by Administrator"
Do you actually have more than one account (e.g. parents admins instead of you) - if no it's probably a virus doing that. (I've heard of that before) If yes then ask them for access to look into this problem. The Task Manager isn't detrimental in any way unless they're running some kind of monitoring program which is still spyware they've just approved anyway.

A virus won't show up easy on the "add remove programs" menu. The Task Manager lets you find out exactly what's using your processor/memory.

Are you a admin on your laptop?

I dunno
When you uninstall programs. Does it ask for your admins password or not? (Also are you using windows xp?)

No it doesnt ask, and im using Vista

Right click your taskbar. Is the task manager option grayed out?
Anyways.
Go to Start -> Run and type gpedit.msc and then in the Group Policy editor navigate to User Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> System -> Ctrl+Alt+Del Options and change the Remove Task Manager policy to Not Configured or Disabled.
It should let you use task manager after that.
