That's not really making a map, though. Plus, you miss out on the shadows for example.

I remember back when GSF was making city maps I was trying to experiment with somehow saving bricks as interiors.

Well no, it's not literally part of the Mission File. But it is still part of the map and you have to edit the file to get rid of the build from the map.

Also, bricks to interior is possible. I forget who it was that was doing that... but you have to go through a whole bunch of conversions.

There wasn't events with it to begin with.

It's still possible now. You just add the save to the map file, and have the mission file execute the save when the host joins the server.

As I said, put the .bls file into the .zip folder. Then you have to add some lines of code to the .MIS file that execute the .bls file when the host first connects to the server. Unfortunately, I don't think there's any other way than when the host connects, so if you make a dedicated server using the map it may load the save multiple times, although that won't change anything if you don't delete the bricks.
