Anyone have any idea how to fix my TF2 problem?

Basicly, this it what happens everytime I load up TF2:

Game starts as normal
Reaches loading screen
After a while, I get a message saying "hl2 has stopped working"

Uninstalling and reinsatlling it has done nothing. The problems have been happening since the day after the Hatless update. TF2 Beta is unaffected by this for some unknown reason

Anyone know how to fix it?
