Tried that. I saw no Run in Compatibility of XP option anywhere.

Well its not exactly an option. Its really a slide down bar to choose which operating system you want to make it compatible for.

There are multiple tabs when I click properties, and I can't find a scroll bar. Which tab is it in?

"Compatible" tab? And just check the "Compatible for:" and then Select "XP (Service Pack 3)" or SP2. But whatever.

It's a CD-ROM, I don't know what file type it is. It's like an external hard drive or something. There is no "Compatibilty" tab though, the file type doesn't have any.

Sometimes the owners have patches to fix Operating Systems above of what it was originally from... but usually its only certain games...
