As you may have noticed, it's that awkward time of year when I become ravenous for a different MMO experience. It is time to try EVE Online. I hear this game's learning curve is extraordinarily steep, and that it seems to be a game where the players who weren't at the right place at precisely the right time are vermin under the shoes of the game's more fortunate crowd who are so successful and opulent that they own every ship in their race's fleet. Is all this true? Is it worth a try?
