Author Topic: The word "yes" pisses me off  (Read 4315 times)

Are you so lazy that even a bit of extra movement for your lips is too much?  :cookieMonster:

I tried transliterating "yes" for Japanese and Spanish. I'm pretty sure the Japanese don't say "hai" as in "Hai gurlfrand, how ya durin?"

If you transliterate the English "yes" into Japanese, you get イエス (iesu), which reads like ee-ess.

If you transliterate it into Spanish, you get "yes", which reads like "yes" because both languages use the roman alphabet. Also "si" is a lot more obnoxious than "yes".

What are you talking about?

Of course you'd get pissed of at something that small.  Just invent a new language.

In Arabic it is نعم or na'am. Which involves a lot of mouth power. There is also ايوه (aywah) and أجال (ajal). Consider yourselves lucky!

I think you're being stupid, Iban.

yes ya oui yea yeah yep yup yos

Iban, you're whining again.
