It's most likely your PSU stuffting out because it isn't capable of running all of those nice parts.

I'm currently having a similar issue. I'm upgrading my 550w to a 750w.

I think even I have a better PSU running a dual core and a GTX 260.

It turns out it was a bad cable but my dad put in the new PSU as well. It seems that my motherboard might be getting a bit old though. Haven't tested any games yet but the computer seems to be working overall.

One of my computers had a PSU problem a while ago. It sat for a while, and after turning it on for the first time, the power supply did a hissing sound. It managed for a while (2 months or so), until it would turn the computer off every 5 or so minutes. Thank god for spares. Now I've got a 450w powering a single core Athlon 1.8GHz, and a GeForce 6200 :D

Yep, I was lucky I had a spare PSU. It wasn't just the cable it was a mixture of everything but the cable was the major issue. My dad was smart to buy that PSU as a backup.

Ok?

PSU's are one of the most common things to fail, which is weird, as they don't have any moving parts (fan aside).
