Author Topic: Bisjac builds a comp  (Read 3475 times)

Also, Richteous One posted best set-up so far.
Apart from the fact that he's posted a P67 board which are less stable and compatible than the newest revision, Z68, and the fact that 580SLI are overkill for one monitor.

Also, stop posting 570's you Nvidia fanboys, the 6970 is far more superior.
If you read OP, bisjac specified he wants a nVidia GPU. I personally prefer AMD, but yeah.

No it doesn't necessarily.

Say if it was a a dual core, each core would have 1.7ghz of power to process things.
If it was a quad core, as such, each core would .85ghz of power to process things.

That can be a big difference, and most programs out there use a max of up to 2 cores anyway.
You're stupid. All four cores run at 3.4 GHz.

I was looking into a Z68 for this buid but the only one I found was another $100. On that note xl6/xl6 only really matters at a very high resolution, so it isn't really needed. Of course 2 580s aren't needed when at 1920xl200 when 1onewould be able to easily max any game anyways.

I found a Z68. It's only 16x/8x with SLI, but unless you're folding or anything extreme like that, it's not going to affect performance.

Ew, alienware.
You can build a better computer than that for his 3 grand budget.

Must be tough not knowing how to read.

Oops. My apologies.
