Author Topic: Fallout: NV help - Songs on radio not playing.  (Read 878 times)

The other day, I got New Vegas. When I started playing, the songs on the radio were playing fine and dandy. Today, I noticed that the songs weren't playing. Mr. New Vegas would do his news segments, announce the song coming up next, and then silence for about 3-4 minutes until Mr. New Vegas started talking again.

I'd like to know how to fix this so I can hear the songs again. If there's anything you can do to help me, tell me.

Ask the fellows at the Fallout: New Vegas Nexus, I doubt anyone here could answer that.

One of the many unexplainable bugs.

Maybe the song files didn't download correctly?

Did you check the audio settings?

I've read up on this problem at the Nexus, and each topic had somebody download a codec. I did so, but it didn't fix it. I've checked the  game files, and the song mp3s are there. I've also looked at the audio settings, and they're working as well.

make sure you have the right codec, make sure the Mp3's arent corrupted, and make sure their names are correct

Which codec would you recommend? And do you think I should individually play them in iTunes so they're shuffled and in use?

Ask around there ???

The reason I don't ask at the Nexus is because I'll most likely get the same solution I came across earlier.

Try this:
Go to your games library, right click on Fallout New Vegas, click properties, then go to local files, click on verify integrity of games cache.

I actually fixed it earlier. I can't lock the topic right now though. Just let it die.

I helped him fix it with AC3filter.
