^Old topic^

I don't know why this isn't considered a base necessity for all bot eventers. Why not?
This is designed to be a bot event add-on and I think it would be GREAT for the things that I'm thinking of doing.

Like what I was thinking of was using VCE with this and bot events and making a bot that holds a weapon, mounts to your hand and uses VCE to do var:pl:firing to make the bot fire a projectile.

So why isn't it considered a necessity? IS IT? Then why isn't it made yet?

Please someone make this. PLEEEASE.

...Because you can force bot firing their weapons with botevents?

...Because a lot of great scripters are either A) super busy, B) banned or left, or C) lazy?

Badspot purposefully removed bots mounting to bots, people, and such. If this is made, lets hope that isn't included..

all I'm asking for is this... so if it isn't included... what will there be left? :I

and this is a mod. people can download what they want.

If you won't want it on your server, don't DL it.

And please quote that post or give evidence of this.

The above is one of the primary reasons this was disabled by default from the game. Making bot towers was annoying, so players dismount from bots turned standard. IT would also glitch, causing people to lose their player and have to rejoin. It was glitchy and annoying. You'd make a tower of them, then bend them over to look inside buildings since only the bottom collision box applies.

I found an entire topic dedicated to it. Now imagine using that tower, you on top, to lean into other peoples building and piss them off. Yes, that's one reason this was disabled. Plus, thinking of Torque and mounting so many things onto each other like this, there's probably some errors in there. You could also use it to bypass killbricks and barriers by moving yourself over them or having all the bots below you die in order.

Very true. Very true. Perhaps limits would have to be made...

This is all true, and one of the many reasons that I'm going up against.

But that would be noticeable. An admin could see that from reports.
That's what the drama section's for

But I guess that's it, a lot of add-ons that are failed at the moment are because they require too much admin moderation or they could be easily abused.

:/

I still want this though. D:

Setting Admin Only on events defeats the purposes I can't immediately remember.

Yeah, let's make TONS of abusable add-ons.  We all know that Admins host servers JUST so they can make sure, 24/7, that each and every player on the server is playing the game and not trying to completely destroy his entire service.

Trust me, people host servers to have fun and to allow others to join in to help / build with them.  They don't want to have to bother with such trivialities as "You know those events I downloaded?  They might just forget me over."

This can be done without a specific event.  It would require more bricks and more events, but it would be safer in that manner.
