@1) Also in Deus Ex, people will carry ammo for weapons they don't even use.
@2) Super Mario RPG. "Hey look it's our hero! Mario! Give me all your coins so you can save the world!" Especially before the last boss.
@3) The cultists did it.
@4) Standard issue crap.

And let me add one.

5) Ledges that are impossible to reach, but your hero can push a conveniently placed crates to climb up. How did the enemies get up there? Why did they leave something for you to get up? Who designed the building to be impossible to access without help of crates? Another related thing is the Megaman stages. Did the boss have to jump across spikes and timed disappearing blocks? Or did they build the stage from the entrance of his room? Said bosses aren't even a threat, there's no need to even go after them. They sit in a room till you go in and kill them. Megaman is the bad guy here.

"I am carrying 17 claymores but I can't equip them because I'm not strong enough to hold one."

Games that don't have enough dragons in them?  :cookieMonster:

Dragons that are evil, I don't get it.

Guys, these are video games we're talking about. They are created to escape reality, to go to a different world when a lot of things are possible that aren't possible in real life. You need to stop looking into things so much and just enjoy the game, if it was incredibly realistic, it wouldn't be fun, would it? Nor a video game, it would be like... a real life simulator? I don't know.
But on some parts I agree, some things that could make the game a little more realistic couldn't ruin the game, but a lot of the times I don't see a problem picking up ammo all over the place in churches and such.

I agree about the escaping reality thing, if EVERY game was made as realistic as real life, they would not be fun at all.

I do enjoy them. It's just fun to point out these things.

I hate the ledges that can be jumped too but can't be grabbed, i.e.
>jumping to another building
>easily in range to grab ledge and pull self up
>smacks into it and falls
>HHHHHHHNNNNNNNGGGGGGG

And inconsistant physics, i.e.
>shoots tissue box
>doesn't move and just spawns a decal on the side
>shoots car
>explodes and pieces fly everywhere
>???

(I'm looking at you, Valve, with your silly immobile tables, computers, and unbreakable window glass, drywall, etc)

Also ammo in churches and other places like that is dumb unless it is explained that someone was there to put it there (like HL2: Lost Coast with the Combinified church, it's understandable that there would be ammo there)
