I support  it should be like the skycrane but at the back and able to spin around (so it can turn) so I bet this is possible.

Then what would it be? If the trailer itself isn't a vehicle then I can only think of building one as an alternative.

Not as a vehicle you can drive by itself just something you can attach to other vehicles

You're right. Vehicle-on-vehicle (hue) collision is VERY glitchy, unless you were to mount a vehicle to a mountPoint on the trailer. Even then, the vehicle may not even fit.
