Author Topic: Sniper: Ghost Warrior  (Read 844 times)

I made this topic for the awesome game Sniper: Ghost Warrior. I really like this game especially the Bullet Cam that it has. When you get a headshot (not all the time) it goes into slow motion so you can actually see your bullet come into contact with your target.

And the multiplayer. It's pretty hard to actually find people on some of the maps. But when you get a kill, it's incredibly rewarding. I don't like that you can't level up or customize your weapons or anything. But the entire scheme of the game is pretty freaking sweet.

What do you think of this game?

The ending was so horrible.

You just shot a guy and the slow mo cam was the guy's bodyguards running into tables.

Then on the radio, "Nice job, get out of there."

Then the screen goes black and it says The End.

It's not even a spoiler because it's not even an ending. It's a half assed sequence.

Yea it was pretty stupid. And some of the missions were completely annoying. Other wise I think this game is really fun.

OH MAN BRILLIANT GAME WITH BRILLIANT AI
JUST RUN AROUND AND THE AI DOESNT DO BULLstuff

Actually the AI was off and on. The game got an O.K. review but I really like it. For some reason I find it awesome when I get the bullet cam. Somewhat.... satisfying.

Oh boy, everything bad about FPS games in one simple package!

The game is called Sniper: Ghost Warrior

I did not buy this game to run around with a poorly modeled and animated hur dur assault rifle. I didn't buy this game to throw grenades. I did not buy this to get shot by source engine equivalent AI (either firing full auto, hitting every shot on your head or standing still, doing diddly) I bought this game to shoot people from a far distance with a powerful and scoped rifle. All whilst being unnoticed.

Terrible game if you ask me. It really likes to tease you with snipers and then replace them almost immediately with some halfassed pew pew gun.

This seems to be the norm to most games these days. Game developers just don't put any effort into a games ending. It's all about the game play & no plot. Kind of reminds me of research actually.

True dat.

yeah, but you can jack off to research, this is hard to jack off to.

God forbid a game have good gameplay.
loving stuff if I want a plot I'll go watch a movie.

why do you post

why do you post
because the voices in my head tell me to.

you don't understand the idea of a motive. you say "gameplay" but what you really mean is going through objectives. imagine a tdm with the blockland bot AI as a console game. the missions would effectively be just run through and kill the big bot. there would be no reason for you to kill him, you would just have to. it wouldn't be worth playing. it's basically redundant if you don't give a stuff about what's going on in the game.

For a un-heard of company it's not that bad. But yes, there is many things they could have done better. Like the assault rifles, they kept on going up instead of in the main general area. It was really annoying cause you have to do really short spirts of bullets instead of just being able to shoot in one direction. And one of the last missions was almost impossible to do. You had to go back the exact way you got to that place. I would give this game a 6 out of 10.
