alright, so I'm using my laptop that has Windows 7 which used to be my mom's boyfriend's
he's a complete dumpass when it comes to software, whether he has a degree in computer engineering or not
on my other computer that has XP, going to the source page of a midi file acts just like going to the source page for a wave or MP3 file, with that black rectangle with a play button and time bar (pictured at the bottom of this post)
but on this computer, going to the source page for a midi file just wants me to use a QuickTime plugin, and since I don't like QuickTime and uninstalled it, it says "missing plugin"
before uninstalling it, it worked fine
for listening to the file, that is, which is not what I'm trying to do
I'm trying to save it, and it wouldn't let me do that before uninstalling QuickTime either
now MP3 source pages work just fine, though
