If I reinstall TF2, will I lose everything?

Topic title, TF2 hasn't been working, and nobody here has helped me when I've asked. It validates to 100% and does nothing, just stays there.

Unless someone can help me, I'm reinstalling, but if I do, will I lose all of my stuff?

If it isn't obvious, because sometimes you "cannot connect to the item server"

I think once I left it there for half an hour (Or longer) once and nothing happened. It's ran fine before, but I haven't played it for months and months.

Go to your Steam directory and delete ClientRegistry.blob
That solves most problems. I had the same problem and by doing this it worked again.
You can also delete your steamapps/[steamnamehere]/team fortress 2
just in case.
