Author Topic: Why do Face, Decal and Print textures glow in the dark?  (Read 816 times)

Seriously don't get why they do this...  I just saw an old RTB video and the intro was in a dark map, nothing was glowing in the dark.

? ;o

odd doesnt happen for me

It's kind of like how the default brick textures glow in the dark. Badspot has stated that there is probably no way to fix this.

Why didn't it happen in RTB then? :V

I don't think lighting affects decals and I don't think this engine supports the ability.

I remember someone saying something about using a different shade of color, or something like that, for a set of prints so they don't do this. I can't remember what exactly it was though.

transparency, perhaps?

Well that can't be right, just look at the picture above, the only part of the face glowing is the hair. And none of the decal is glowing. At least some of it is affected by light isn't it?

I guess it's different for everybody.

All those parts are black.  Black probably glows in the dark too we just can't see it because it's black.

Black glows in the dark but its black and so is the dark. I like that.
maybe decals don't run well with the lighting that already sucks as it is.

Yes, that's it...

Prints that can't be colored over are like solid color ones and glow in the dark therefore. I don't know why, they just do. Prints that can be recolored, however, do not.

I can't find the post but I remember Badspot saying the same thing.

Ahh yes. I've had this problem before. It was weird though. My old Penguins decal had a shade pf white I don't quite remember and it didn't glow, but my new one uses "000000" and so it glows in the dark.
