also why are you calling me a 'blind forget' when you are the one who has minimal information on the situation and does not have any idea of a good solution
Edit: other person just said what i had to say.

what kind of knowledge do you think he's supposed to have?
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOO" and the fact that your installation of Steam being broken is not going to give him enough information for whatever you're expecting him to realize
if you do not provide information, it can not be expected of someone to use the information they do not know to come up with a proper solution

did i ever say he was supposed to have knowledge

gg nightfox go take your personal vendetta about me somewhere else

I don't think running the installation again with Steam already installed will delete your games.

I tried the repairing tool on the installer but it keeps saying files are missing and whatnot, so i did it the manual way of opening it in winrar and copying the files, but steam still gave the same error message once it finished updating.

I think it has to do with me using steam mobile for the past month and not being on steam in ages.

Then I guess backing up your SteamApps folder, clearing out the rest, and reinstalling is your best bet. When it's done, you'll be able to plug the SteamApps folder back in and it should be good as new. I think it may mark all your games as uninstalled, but if it does, the installation should be extremely short as it verifies it already has everything. I'm kinda going off memory here. From what I remember, you may be able to copy over the config folder too.

dont know what happened but i turned on my computer this morning and steam was working fine

gaben is ruining my life, i knew it

GABE WHEN DID YOU GET SO BIIIIG?

no, you got angry at him when he suggested something based on what you did tell us, saying that he doesn't know enough about the situation to come up with a solution. the OP implies that you want people to suggest ways to help fix the problem, and if you're not going to give them enough information to make one, getting angry when they make one you don't like is not the right thing to do.

PS: gg stands for "good game"

IDEA TIEM, try exporting the files from the old steam to the new steam, like i used to do with blockland addons. as long as your game files aren't corrupted you will be fine.

motherforgeter fix the pagestretch

estimated time for me to reinstall steam = 2 months

that's how slow my internet is in australia
