I don't think Luigi's Mansion counts as a 3D Mario game. I believe that a 3D Mario game is supposed to be Mario, with his abilities to run, jump, stomp Goombas, etc, but in a 3D world.

I would say that Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 is 2nd, Super Mario 64 is 3rd and Super Mario 3D Land is 4th.

well it is technicly a Mario game. but you dont play as mario and it is in 3D so your right and wrong.

Sunshine is better than both Galaxy games, but 64 is still the best of the series.


I've beaten it with 120 Shinesprites twice now, it's a fun game. It was my first Game Cube game too, along with Frogger and Sonic Mega Collection.

Only last month did I appreciate the work the developers put into the game (I did love the game, though)



The graphics were particularly awesome, especially for the GameCube which game developers underestimated.

Super Mario Sunshine's probably one of the best Gamecube games. Only reason people say it sucked is because of Fludd changing up the formula that Nintendo fanboys were so used to.

Is it just me, or did that game have amazing graphics for it's time?

It still has amazing graphics, I see games today that have graphics that don't even compare to this.
