I don't use steam that much anyways, but if I want to talk with someone on steam, there's always Steampowered.com
that's just the main example, i should say EVERYTHING is hell with wine.

but that's just me go ahead if you don't mind about that kind of stuff, i'm pretty sure there are a lot of programs you'll be able to compile from source anyway.

And your not going to try out OpenSUSE. Which runs a whole lot better on my crappy netbook than ubuntu. You should try it. Plus No unity.

I'll put it on a flash drive and try it along with this.

Hopefully this works better than that puppy linux thing I did earlier. Stupid boot preferences.

Almost all problems with Windows are either hardware or third-party software problems.  But for those specs, Windows would be a bit sluggish anyway.

I've switched to linux a few times just to be a hipster but I always end up breaking it within the first few days by being lazy and just DLing everything in .exe form and running it with wine even if it had a linux version.
