Of course you would say that, you're a redneck. I wouldn't expect you to listen to anything else but country. So I'm not sure why I'm going to waste my time telling you that metal songs do have meaning, even though the vocal style is harder. They're not just screaming stuff, the lyrics tell sort of story just like your country music. Country is intolerable to me, due to the southern twang.

Your not the first one to say its because of how they speak or something related to that. Name on song that tells a truly good story.

Learn to take your own advice. I recognize that not all country stuff, just most of it. I recommend you not classify all metal as stuff just because of the hard vocals.
I listened to a few and I don't really like any of it. Especially this "Asking Alexandria" bull forget.

I already posted a couple lyrics, so here's one more for now.

A Little Piece of Heaven - Avenged Sevenfold

Before the story begins, is it such a sin
For me to take what's mine until the end of time?
We were more than friends before the story ends
And I will take what's mine, create what God would never design

Our love had been so strong for far too long
I was weak with fear that something would go wrong
Before the possibilities came true I took all possibility from you
Almost laughed myself to tears, conjuring her deepest fears

Must have stabbed her fifty loving times
I can't believe it
Ripped her heart out right before her eyes
Eyes over easy, eat it, eat it, eat it

She was never this good in bed even when she was sleeping
Now she's just so perfect, I've never been quite so loving deep in
It goes on and on, and on, I can keep you looking young
And preserved forever with a fountain to spray on your youth whenever

?Cause I really always knew that my little crime
Would be cold that's why I got a heater for your thighs
And I know, I know it's not your time but bye, bye
And a word to the wise when the fire dies
You think it's over but it's just begun, baby don't cry

You had my heart, at least for the most part
?Cause everybody's gotta die sometime
We fell apart, let's make a new start
?Cause everybody's gotta die sometime, but baby, don't cry

Now possibilities I'd never considered
Are occurring the likes of which I'd never heard
Now an angry soul comes back from beyond the grave
To repossess a body with which I'd misbehaved

Smiling right from ear to ear
Almost laughed herself to tears

Must have stabbed him fifty loving times
I can't believe it
Ripped his heart out right before his eyes
Eyes over easy, eat it, eat it, eat it

Now that it's done, I realize the error of my ways
I must venture back to apologize
From somewhere far beyond the grave

I gotta make up for what I've done
?Cause I was all up in a piece of heaven
While you burned in hell, no peace forever

?Cause I really always knew that my little crime
Would be cold that's why I got a heater for your thighs
And I know, I know it's not your time but bye, bye
And a word to the wise when the fire dies
You think it's over but it's just begun but baby, don't cry

You had my heart at least for the most part
?Cause everybody's gotta die sometime
We fell apart, let?s make a new start
?Cause everybody's gotta die sometime, but baby, don't cry

I will suffer for so long
(What will you do, not long enough?)
To make it up to you
(I pray to God that you do)
I'll do whatever you want me to do
(Well then I?ll break you unchained)

And if it's not enough
(If it?s not enough, if it?s not enough)
If it's not enough
(Not enough)
Try again
(Try again)
And again
(And again)
Over and over again

Were coming back, coming back
Well live forever, live forever
Lets have a wedding, have a wedding
Lets start the killing, start the killing

Cause I really always knew that my little crime
Would be cold that's why I got a heater for your thighs
And I know, I know it's not your time but bye, bye
And a word to the wise when the fire dies
You think it's over but it's just begun but baby, don't cry

You had my heart at least for the most part
Cause everybody's gotta die sometime
We fell apart, let?s make a new start
Cause everybody's gotta die sometime, but baby, don't cry

A Little Piece of Heaven - Avenged Sevenfold

-sn-i-i-p-
Something that isn't about someone dying over someone not being good in bed please.... Something that will set a good influence.

Something that isn't about someone dying over someone not being good in bed please.... Something that will set a good influence.
Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
You fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way.
Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way.

Tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain.
You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you.
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun.

So you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again.
The sun is the same in a relative way but you're older,
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death.

Every year is getting shorter never seem to find the time.
Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way
The time is gone, the song is over,
Thought I'd something more to say.

And the story behind it is?

And the story behind it is?

Man realizes life is existential mess.

Man tries to catch up with it all, hoping to use the remaining time he has to do something worth while.

Man is unable and collapses in quiet desperation, and dies wishing he'd done more with his life.

EDIT: Moral of story is do more with the time you have, because once you're dead, you're dead.

At least, that's my interpretation of it. You know a good story always has more than one meaning.

After re-reading it a couple times I was thinking maybe he's saying get started early or die without much of a life.

Either way its one of those one life now life it stories

It's also one of Pink Floyd's best songs! I love them to death.
