Author Topic: Is Evolution a Scientific Law, Theory, or both?  (Read 7394 times)

also lol at people thinking evolution is a law
lol Evolution is a law.

Evolution states that things tend to change over time to be better adapted towards their environment. This is a law, not a theory.

The problem is that many scientists who come up with theories to explain why evolution occurs call their theories the theory of evolution, so people think that evolution is a theory. The reality is that for whatever reason those particularly bad a naming and can't call their theories something more specific. This is especially funny because it has resulted in multiple theories being referred to as the "theory of evolution."

Since people dont seem to grasp it, lets say it in Simpler terms.

Law of Evolution = Things change over time
Theory of Evolution = How things change over time, and what they change from and into

Well scientists have recently pinpointed a fused chromasome relating us to chimps.

soooo not really a theory anymore

It's a theory. Contrary to idiot belief, theory is pretty much the strongest possible dogma in science.

It's a theory, and anyone who tries to suggest otherwise doesn't understand the precise scientific meanings of these classifications.

I'm not sure which side you're on. 'Dogma' usually has a negative connotation.

He's making fun of idiots who agree with evolution yet can't classify it properly.

If CityRPG is from CityRP, why is there still a CityRP?

It sounds like he's on our side. Calling people who think theory = unproven, idiots.
