Graphics glitch with HL1

So I just installed Half Life, and I was excited to play it...till I started it up, and the menu looks distorted.
Like, COMPLETELY distorted.
It's as if the whole page is just stretched out, pixel by pixel.

Is it my computer? I know it can be ran on a calculator, but still.

Well that was quick, just needed to put -windowed in the launch options and from there I could fix it. Thank you for the help though, NEk.
