Author Topic: Source Game Errors.  (Read 1005 times)

Like the title said I've been having some annoying issues since the Source engine update and its taking a week for steam support to reply to me, It seems when i boot up Team fortress 2, Garry's mod, Counter Strike and such my computer freezes and then results in a Blue screen of death. i reboot the PC and i am followed by a Irkutsk procedure.

However Garry's Mod 13 beta simply freezes the PC till i reboot. And Half life: Source runs just fine.

This is really annoying and i planned to have a long game of Synergy with a friend today but it seems this is standing in my way.

Any ideas on how to fix this? I've tried updating my drivers but i have no idea what they are, i have a custom PC and when i try to detect my drivers with Nevada Ge Force Google chrome freezes and i have to exit it with Task manager.

uninstall the game, or uninstall steam, or uninstall directX and reinstall.

I scanned last night. i get plenty of viruses but none were detected. Half life 2 seems to be mysteriously working fine.
Though i probably did do a Stupid and something might have forgeted my PC ten ways till' Tuesday before i got rid of it.

So Half Life 2 is working but is anyone able to connect to steam? since 4 AM last night steam has been having errors connecting.

Update your drivers.  Blue screens are usually the result of faulty drivers.

I have a different problem where things say ERROR in gmod. but your problem, I have no idea how to fix

I think i made it clear when i try to Detect my drivers the webpage just freezes without giving me the result. Any other way i could see what drivers i have so i can re-install them?
