Well, theres two types.

Slowsand, it makes you slow
Sinksand, it sinks you unless you get to land soon enough, jumping makes you sink slower,

For slow sand you could just add a low level of sludge water and event it.

For future reference, the more you move in quicksand the faster you sink, so the jumping thing is wrong.

no, because the more you move in quick sand the faster you sink
the more you jump in sink sand as he puts it, it slows your sinking

Don't zonebricks come with a default mud plate?  So if that's possible, then wouldn't making a faster version of it with events possible too?
