The macro is literally the most useless thing in the game.

Completely situational.

If there's something event heavy that I need to copy, I'll use duplicator.

Otherwise, I use autowrench and macros.

I use macros and dupl(i/or)cator hand in hand.
Macros are useful when you want to make something large, precise and repeated.
And the duplicator is for moving stuff around or creating multiple of some design.

I would use a macro to move around my duplicated ghost brick to precisely put stuff in 8 block intervals for example.

I don't use the macro

I use a buildbot.

1. Activate macro
2. Build a cage
3. Deactivate macro
4. Approach a random person by stealth
5. Plant brick under their feet
6. ???
7. Profit

I hope you know how handicapped you are because it's incredibly useful.

unless you have the macro saver
then its a cross-server duplicator

I use build macros a lot, but the duplorcator is almost invaluable at times.

Really, though, it all depends on the situation.

I treat both of them as completely different tools with very different uses.

The macro saver used with the default macro is a wonderful way to construct things.

I actually have some basic buildings saved as macros, haha.
Like a little tent and shack. I even have an entire house saved into macro files, haha.
