Honestly, if you did this, I would be less concerned about the thread being derailed and more about the fact that your entire argument is fallacious.

Any time you can find a relevant section on TV Tropes, use that instead. Wikipedia will impart more technical knowledge, but TV Tropes has the advantage of readability without the requirement of knowing every jargon term in a given field.
