Author Topic: DirectX Rendering, Dammit!  (Read 684 times)

My OpenGL are brok, and I prefer DirectX runtime so...

Badspot can may you implement an option to use DirectX? If you don't I can't play.
Thank you.

Well I would like to see how the game would run using Direct X.
And since I have DX10 support why not?

it's really not as easy as you seem to think

you better start trying to fix your 'brok' OpenGL

I know it wont be easy, But Blockland is practically its own engine and with maps gone isn't there space for more additions?

i'm not sure if you entirely understand what i mean by this

thinking of it as an "addition" undermines the size of the project

there used to be directX support, but it was removed for some reason or another.

it's not a matter of "space"
it's a matter of "feasibility" and "why would even"

of course i can't speak on behalf of the developers

Recoding the entire loving rendering pipeline in direct x just for you is not a reasonable request so just forget about it.  The direct x driver for torque doesn't work and it never has.  Even if it did work, it wouldn't solve your problem.
