Hunters and Survivors
Welcome to the forest...

Welcome one and all, to a brand new game for all to enjoy.

The point of Hunters and Survivors is to stop the opposing team from winning (just like any other TDM).  The only difference, is that the game is a horror game.


What is Hunters and Survivors?
Hunters and Survivors is a horror team death match game.  There are two teams.  The hunter team, and the survivor team.  The Survivors start on one side of the map, while the hunters are on the other.  The Hunters must hunt the survivors.  The Survivors must use their weapons to kill the Hunters, and make it out alive.  The game takes place in a dark, foggy forest.  The forest is extremely dangerous.  Danger lurks around ever turn, every tree.  The horror aspect of the game is based doubt and paranoia.


What makes it scary?
The game is scary mainly because of paranoia.  The Hunters have a single knife and are fully black.  The Hunters can also turn invisible.  The map itself is also very scary.  The player must make their way through the dense, dark, foggy, forest and try to survive.  The forest is very large, and easy to get lost in.  When a Survivor is wandering through the forest, a Hunter could find them and kill them, adding the paranoia aspect to the game.



Hunters
The Hunters are a group of deformed monsters.  They are completely black, and blend in with their surroundings.  They also may turn invisible temporarily to hunt the Survivors.

Survivors
The Survivors are the last of the human race.  Hunters across the globe have killed off all other humans, leaving just a few remaining.  The Survivors must kill the Hunters with the surplus of weapons that have

Survival Tips
(For Hunters and Survivors)
  • Do not jump
  • Do not use your light
  • Do not announce your location to others
  • Do not use emotes (alarm, love, etc)
  • Always look behind yourself...



FAQ

Q) Is this like Slenderman?
A) No, it is not.  The Slenderman story is based off of one person, who is a stalker, that kills people.  HaS is based off of deformed monsters (more than one) that hunt and kill you.  THe Hunters can choose to be sneaky, or quick and open.

Q) I feel as though I have seen this map before...?  Have I?
A) Yes, you may have.  This was originally meant for a zombie survival, although it has been changed recently into this.  Although since then, it has been greatly improved and redone.

Q) May I have admin?
A) No, I may eventually add admin applications, but at this point I will not.  Certain people will have administrator automatically (trusted people, who have been admins on my servers before)

Q) What if I have a problem with something on the server?
A) If it has to do with weapons, something technical, or anything of the sort.  Feel free to exclaim your problem, and I will try to fix it as soon as I can.

Q) What if I have a problem with a certain user?
A) If a user has been spamming, spewing hateful things, or anything like that.  Please report it to the forums "Drama" section.  It would be much easier for me to notice also if you included a link to the topic in this op.

The server is open currently!

Who came up with this idea?
Bubbagum and I were talking about how there are a lack of good servers lately.  And came up with this idea.  Idea credit goes to Bubbagum and I.

Who built it?
WALK2222 (most of the building) and Frontrox (built an ever so wonderful shack in the forest)

Why does it take so long to ghost?
This question has been asked many times lately, and the answer should be self explanatory.  The reason it takes so very long to ghost, is because there are many bricks.  There are over 47,000 bricks on the server.  It will take a little bit of time for your computer to render them.  I am sorry, but I cannot "speed up ghosting" without deleting a very large portion of the map.

Is the entire area densely forested, or are their clearings too?
I think it could use a couple of slightly more open areas, perhaps some more hills and similar terrain things, and I definitely think you should put some variation in the trees.

They don't have to look like different types of trees, since you're obviously going for a sort of sprucey/pine style, but I definitely think you should try making it so that some of the trees aren't as tall, or the leaves start higher up the trunk, or lower perhaps.


I really love the idea, but I do think you could do with making some more variation in design. Just because it'll look nicer and also provide some more change to gameplay.
From the looks so far, it's very much just the act of people hiding behind the trees. You could edit it so that hunters can use the tree-tops to attack as well, or provide open areas where you're more open to attack, but perhaps can see more.

If I can find time to, I might pop on for a visit when you're hosting.

I think the trees need to be raised a little bit. But other than that, the rest of it looks good.

All these trees are born of tne duplicator.

I do not however know how to edit the Hunters, so that they could hide on top of trees :/ (unless there is an addon for changing player abilities)
I actually meant for you to try adding branched trees or walkways between the trees, so that a hunter could jump along them.
