Author Topic: Accumulated point records?  (Read 446 times)

Could someone make an addon that tracks the points of players in the server, and adds them up to the previous visit?

Thanks

Do you mean like a score saving system? Or like it saves you previous score from other servers?

I mean for one server, it saves EVERYONE's score for every time they've played on that server.

So, I could have a log that says "Brotatoe's Overall Points - [points accumulated ever]"

it seems like he wants it seperate from the old score though
so you can have a score per minigame which gets reset with the minigame, and an accumulated score which is never reset and is saved

This.

Maybe a combination of this and Greek2me's post. I'm using it for a "Player of the week"

There's always VCE.

There's always an easier way to do things.

I'd consider this a dismissive post, by the way. The purpose of this section is to find easier ways to do things/make new ideas.

He was suggesting a solution. It's not dismissive at all.

That easier way is VCE.

If a mod is created to do this, there is a chance for errors in the script.  Those errors may never be fixed.  And so, we get a stuff mod.  Using VCE saving/loading will get rid of those errors, because there are very few mess-ups in VCE.
