Author Topic: Simple, but crucial feature for Blockland  (Read 698 times)

When we fakefill bricks, blow them up with weapons, or play mini games with them, they should make collision sounds of debris colliding into each other. By debris, I mean whenever bricks and the ground & bricks collide with other bricks, they should make collision sounds. Especially in Rampage Mode.

Client sided things cannot play sounds. For example, bullet shells are client sided and cannot have a ground hitting noise.

why can't the client play a noise when it detects such a thing? only that person with the mod would hear it

I don't see any reason that it couldn't, but I'm not the most experienced coder.

I'm sure somebody like Port could do this.

Not exactly crucial but it would be nice to have.

You can play sounds client-sided I think

You can play client sided sounds, but you cannot detect when a physics brick hits another. This would need to be done in the engine, but it certainly would be cool. Also, ambiguous topic.

Fixed* anyways it IS possible Just intesly hard But anyways we do want it not need it.

Yeah it would be a good feature but it would be lots of hard work for badspot and the others to make and it would delay a update that could hold a fix to a Massive bug.

Anyways it's ok but not worthy of a /support.

No he cannot. This requires an engine modification by Badspot.
