so me and farsy were talking about aiti-virus programs, then a virus TDM in blockland, and somewhere i got a idea what if players can posses bricks. I know the chances of this ever happening are probably vary low, but I was putting the idea out in case any one can make it, i don't need it but i thought of how epic it would be to be able to do that

Allow me to elaborate on this.

One of our friends got a virus. We where talking on the way home about it. i tried to tell him what i pictured went antivirus got rid of a virus. We got into the discussion of a TDM type battle between Antivirus Players and Evil Virus Players.

There will be 3 levels of each team, For the viruses, The levels would be Tracking Cookie -> Trojan -> Hacker
Cookies would be nothing special, no powers or anything, barely does anything.
The Trojan would be able to disguise as the other team.
The Hacker will be the one able to posses Bricks and even players. player possession would be a random chance of success

The Antivirus Levels are 3rd party software -> Trusted/1st party software -> Support technician
The 3rd party will be like the cookie, nothing special
The Trusted Software will be Stronger and faster, no powers though
The technician can't be possessed by hackers.

The TDM will actually be somewhat of a KOTH. Antivirus will try to capture certain programs needed to get rid of the virus, the virus will do the same to prevent the Antivirus to be able to do anything.

When did this become about cookies and stuff like that? He wanted a simple brick possesion/virus for a gamemode, form what I read.

i left alot of ideas out of the conversation there is going to be other stuff but that is mosly made already

but the brick possession dosnot exist yet and i think it might be cool to have it and make the brick do crap

So basically you type a server command while looking at the brick of your choice, then the script gets the brick's datablock, finds the model and generates a quick playertype for you or something like that?

Well I don't think you can actually possess a brick, But there is a command to possess someone.

We where also thinking about the usefulness of a player that could take control of a brick. We realized that not a lot of bricks would have use from being controlled, We will possibly need bricks that would be able to do things to harm or trap a player.

I don't understand most of that, since i don't involve myself in scripts and stuff. but we basically want a player to be able to take control of a brick and use whatever the brick can do, such as shoot a projectile of some sort. The player becomes the brick. We don't know a lot about the possibilities of Blockland and are not expecting this to actually be possible.
