Author Topic: Far Cry 3 catastrophic error (Read 1027 times)

Whenever I play Far Cry 3 I run around and do stuff for a bit (~20-30 minutes) and my computer just shuts down. I've been playing it without any background programs, I've updated the game, I've even gotten the NVIDIA beta driver that is supposed to make Far Cry 3 run smoother. No warning or anything, one second I'm running around, the next second my computer is just off. Plz halp.

Sounds like typical overheating. No error messages when you boot up?

I agree. Clean your computer for dust, if the problem persists then I have no clue.

Get a GPU temperature monitor and check it after 10 minutes of playing.

Pour water on the CPU to cool it down.

Yep that fixed it, haven't cleaned it in quite a while.
