A few days ago marked a year of playing guitar.

I now present to you a cover which I tried to make not suck.

I botched halfway in, and my tempo is a bit off, but bear with me.

6/10 It's good but it sounds off. It's in the uncanny valley of music.

Pretty good.
A few strums you're silencing a bit prematurely, and some embellishments are a bit sloppy.

Sounds really good to me.

waaaay ahead of where i was at a year. lol.

you have the approval of a fellow musician.

Actually not bad. I listened to it twice because I enjoyed ;)

Much better than I sounded at 1 year of playing.

I've been playing for four years now, and mainly thrash metal so I can't do this very easily, but when I'm just doodling with scales it sounds really jazzy and bluesy.. :o

I've been playing a lot of acoustic, haven't gotten into electric guitar yet.
This sounds pretty good to me.

play I Heard It Through The Grapevine next?

Sorry about the tempo, I was doing this alone so I didn't have a bassist or someone to keep pace with.

I plan on buying a larger amp soon, one with enough kick to play alongside a drummer and then I'll record some more.

My current amp is a Fender Mustang with an 8" speaker and 20 watts of power. I plan on hunting out a Fromtman 212r soon.

For a moment it reminded me of Dwarf Fortress.
