Author Topic: Help me find a new GPU.  (Read 700 times)

Hey guys, so I have this gaming computer that I use for.. well.. gaming. And I'm looking to upgrade the GPU. I built it in like 2010 or something like that, so the parts are kind of dated. Here's a pic of the DX-Diag. I'll eventually change out the CPU as well, but not really top priority at the moment.

Anyway, i don't really play too many insanely stressful games. I play CS:GO, CS:S, L4D 2, Blockland and that's really it. I'd like to be able to run some of the newer generation games, but I don't need anything crazy beefed up. My budget is probably around 250-ish. Cheers.

kthx. whoever recommends me a good one gets something. idk what yet, but i'll hook you up with a goodie of sorts.

I reccoment The Radeon 7770 as it is rather cheap and I have one. Mine can run nearly everything on max settings and I only have 1Gb of ram and this one has 2. It can run blockland on max shaders with no problems too. Also choosing a radeon since you have an AMD processor

dude

you stole my pc name

it's a good card. He doesnt want beefed up graphics and considering this runs everything on max settings, it should last a while

GTX 660

One of the best sub-$250 cards you'll find.

jesus christ. this thing looks like its going to transform into a robot and kill me in my sleep. i like it.

also, a note; i'm going to format my HDD before I install this card, so drivers and stuff like that aren't gonna be an issue.

From what I can gather, your motherboard is PCI-E 2.0. That card is 3.0.

It might be compatible anyway, but I'm not 100% sure.

EDIT: It will work fine.
