Author Topic: how poorly is shaders actually coded?  (Read 2893 times)

It wasn't worth losing terrain for shadows. It just wasn't worth it.
Blockland with terrains feels less polished, I loved building on terrains but I always found it a bit weird how baseplates would appear slanted because of the terrain. I also ALWAYS hated how night time meant bricks completely lose their color, in other words everything seemed grayscaled when the maps were dark and you could see the hideous outline on bricks. Another ugly thing during night time was that some faces and almost all torso images would seem like they were glowing.

I don't think Badspot every really liked terrains and feels the same way I do about it, Blockland feels a lot more polished with shaders....why do you think he only released Blockland on Steam Greenlight AFTER shaders were released.
