Author Topic: Do you think anything like LEGO Universe will ever come out again?  (Read 1827 times)

Dude, that game was the stuff.

Goddamn loved Lego Universe... I played through closed and open beta, then when it was released and actually up for sale I didn't buy it, the pricing was a bit too much for me. They release a "free to play"platform and I thought "Awesome!" but it was an insanely restrictive and more of a demo... Finally it goes on Steam but I still hold off on buying it. Fastforward a few months and I finally buy it, loving every minute, memories of beta rising. Come another month or two and it's closed. I still regret not buying it sooner so I could have played it longer ;-;

Answer to the title: I don't think so. I really hope so, but I don't think so. If anyone DOES remake Lego Universe, or something like it, use a better payment plan.

I personally liked LU during Alpha and Alpha only. Once they released it they looked nonetheless like EA. The game still seemed unfinished (tried on free membership demo or there was something like that) and they asked everyone to play monthly for the game. For a game literally aimed towards loving children, even after you paid the game.
Can't tell what's worse, LEGO's respect loss from the whole game or the game account system itself.

I was so happy when I got the email saying i'd been chosen for the Beta ;-;

Ah, I remember playing this in alpha/beta, and god damn was I hyped for it. Didn't buy it once it came out though.

The game was cool, but it didn't have much going for it in my opinion.

i never played this game and i regret not doing it

didn't they start development on this game on 2006?

So much work has been gone to waste :(

I got to play closed beta, never actually bought the game though

I remember first seeing hints of it on the personal user pages BEFORE My Lego Network came out. I was so excited. I also got to play the beta. I did buy it on steam and regret not playing it for the full free month.

Since i played the open beta, i somehow got access to a free month of membership, but i didn't realize it, i thought the game was pay and you've got the whole shabang

so i was really pissed off when i was given "ACCESS DENIED" after a short time of playing it

I remember being in Juinior High, at lunch, when I received my Alpha invitation.

The feels...
