How can I re-size and crop a gif?

I've been trying to resize a gif but when I googled it all that came up was some stuff gif  re-sizing program and it turned out really bad. I need something that can re-size a gif and crop one. Whats a good program or website that can do it

Here is what I need to be resized for a forum avatar it would be good to also know how to do it in advance so I don't have this problem again

GIMP can do this. Ive converted .gif's to .png's before.

Best way to learn is to do it yourself

First open your gif/video and then goto filters



Then add the resize filter



Then configure the filter (Below settings are for a forums avatar) and hit OK



Then goto cropping



Adjust the edges to your liking and hit OK



Then export your finished video





You can also remove frames by marking a section in the seekbar using your Home (Selection start point) End (Selection end point) and Delete keys.
