Author Topic: Addon downloader in-game  (Read 2142 times)

with a server sided and client sided mod your blockland could upload the files to a webserver
can't process binary files in ts

Your client actually does download the models from servers. They are placed into your cache.db, and can be extracted if you know what you're doing. None of the code is ever sent to the client, though.
You get blbs too.

OK, also ingame if you're a host you could go through a checklist - "Downloadables: addon (√) addon (x) addon (√) addon (√) addon (x)"

Just saying, I have friends who have created systems called mod rippers. They can extract all the files to any add-on from any server they enter. I've watched it in action. I hardly understand it though, so I'm no help in that respect, but that's why I tell hosts not to get too proud of their add-ons.

Luckily the three of my friends that have rippers don't release them publicly, they keep it to themselves and they stay quiet about it.

Jack the ripper

You still have to get the server to upload the add-ons to your website which it can't
The website script that you are running is hosting the add-ons straight from your add-on folder
How is that hard to understand

If anything it has to be done with a blockland add-on

Hey! Ever joined a server with a really cool addon that you can't find anywhere? This would make it so that you download the addons that the server has when you join, so you get them upon leaving and game-starting. However, you could also go through and check-mark every addon from the server that you want so you don't get them all. Simple addon, just want it pretty bad

read OP

Doesn't that seem silly? They use a private tool to take away the privacy of add-ons?
