Are you going to slowly expand to new crops?

Looks cool, but costly.

Are you going to slowly expand to new crops?

Looks cool, but costly.

If all goes well I will build a 100+ cell system for strawberries next year, I currently already grow them in soil but hydroponics is just so much better. I will need a bigger reservoir though because I have about ~70 cells and it uses over half of the water. I think I will get 200-300 gallon reservoir and just use that to feed both systems.

I will most likely need 2-3 1000GPH pumps.

The 55 gallon reservoir I have dug into the ground to keep the water cool to help prevent root rot.

If we have a mild winter I may be able to pull off growing cold weather crops in it outside.

Next picture update will be tomorrow.

Update 05/20/2013:
Tomatoes are getting bigger, the stem is thicker.
Slight change in pepper roots.

55 Gallon Reservoir Readings Today:

Changed water.
Boosted nutes to 1000PPM because of tomatoes growth.
PH Level of 6

Need to buy more nutes.

Next change in 2 weeks.

Alright, so.

The wind has been steady high for a week now. It beat most of the peppers to a point where they are just about dead, and it's beating most of the tomatoes to the point where they look like they want to die (some will). There's still two more days left of high wind. I don't think it will get through it. I may have a couple left, if that's the case then I will just put them in the ground and replace with strawberries.
