Author Topic: installing Linux mint  (Read 955 times)

i've been enjoying fedora 18 recently and i'm excited for fedora 19 in less than 30 days :D.

dual booting with windows 7 now.

If I remember correctly, when making a bootable flash drive using programs like LiLi or the Universal USB Creator, there should be a file called "mint4win.exe", which is the same as ubuntu's wubi installer. Try using that if it's there.

If it isn't, how are you using the USB key? Are you pressing a certain key on startup to open the list of bootable devices, then selecting your USB device?

I agree. Despite its bugginess, Cinnamon is probably one of my favorites. I like Unity too, but it can get pretty laggy sometimes.
