Author Topic: I took my drivers test  (Read 507 times)

So i passed, which was awesome since it was my first time. I've been putting it off for a while but just decided to do it. I almost hit the cones with parallel parking though. Does anyone have crazy driver test stories?

I passed mine with flying colors. Only got 5 points reduced because I went 5mph over the speed limit.

Nice job. Took me a couple trys to do the three point turn, but my instructor was nice enogh to give me a tip. Besides that nothing really crazy happend.

dang that sucks, what did you do to fail?

My "fatal error" was at a 4-way intersection where the vehicles on the two adjacent roads were stopped by stop signs while I was not. I didn't notice and assumed that the vehicle to the right of me had the right of way, so I let him go. My bad.

In addition, I made several smaller mistakes. Though I looked back for the majority of the time while I was parallel parking, I glanced forward once to see how close my car was to the one in front of us. That was a mistake. I also didn't switch lanes quick enough (a lane was ending; there were no cars but I didn't switch into the travel lane immediately).

Right at the end he did tell me that I was pretty much guaranteed to pass when I take the exam again, so that's reassuring.

Oh well. Back to public transportation for now.
I've already filed for another exam. Second time's the charm.

they didnt make me do parallel parking or a three point turn, all I had to do was drive around for a while and then do some stuff with cones
testing lady freaked out when i went like two miles per hour over the speed limit though

nice
i wanted to take my written test the other day but they wouldn't let me because i was homeschooled
i'm going to have to wait until the fall when i start getting high school records before i'm allowed to work on getting my permit

also fun short story
a few days ago a lady got rear-ended at a stop sign near where my dad works and wound up with a concussion
the guy who hit her was on his learner's permit and said that he hydroplaned even though it hadn't rained for like a week
