Author Topic: why isnt america spending time trying to fix detroit  (Read 12082 times)

I live right by grand rapids. To be honest, I think detroit is a lost cause. We should just turn it into a giant prison and send the president in for no reason so one guy named Snake can save him.
+1 for movie reference

So what will happen to all the sports teams there?

The Lions are my favorite NFL team. I hope they make it to the superbowl at some point in the future. It would be the best superbowl ever.

I visit Detroit and the surrounding area at least once a year, and I have tons of friends that live around Detroit. Many parts of the city are stuff, yes. However, the Greek Town area and the border are pretty decent. The worse thing that's happened to me personally while walking around that area is someone coming up to me and asking for a cigarette. The stuff parts of Detroit remind me a lot of the areas I've lived in most of my life in Chicago, just with a tad more crime.
