Pinch the sorest parts and hold it for a while until it starts going away.

Fill a sock with rice, tie up the open end, heat it up in the microwave, rest it around your neck.

Make sure you relax too. Keeping it tense or focusing on a computer screen isn't going to help. Lie down with that rice-sock.
This is the most sensible answer by far. Considering he's strained his muscles, forcing his head around won't help, it'll just force them more. To all of you people who say it helped you, well, it probably didn't you would've gotten the same results just as quickly if you had left it alone. This is a healing thing; it's not like the muscle is stuck on something. What the warm rice sock does is not only ease the pain a bit, but helps loosen up the tense muscles and get them back to their normal positions more quickly.

Please don't keep suggesting things that will only hurt OP more.

Thank you. I thought I was the only reasonable person here for a moment.

I'd just leave it alone for a while

This. Don't do anything like cracking your neck or whatever because it hurts and can risk damaging it even more.
It should clear up on it's own after a day.

I've done it with 4 pillows before
the pain went away on its own I don't know how i managed but I don't like the feeling either

Wtf?

They have the same hair.

i recommend slamming your head against your desk (if using a laptop, bang head on nearest table).
