I believe pixel art has a purpose in bl.
Technically, it is building, but it isn't any more impressive than a baseplate stack concerning the actual building part.
However, the painting kind of counteracts that, making it something fun and extravagant to look at.
The use of colors make it just as interesting.

I meant building as in using building materials, not using the socks in your drawer, pancakes or finger paint.

What if someone made a horizontal pixel of I dunno, the Mona Lisa, only using the real picture as his guide and no BMP 2 pixel?

I was just saying that it involved building since some people said there was no building involved. All you do is litter 1x1 plates on the floor, that is the building part. The rest is the art part.

So a final agreement would be that the prep. involves SOME easy, simple building and then after that it's all art.
