The problem is listed in the OP.
The event system doesn't work like that.
Unfortunately.
But, could an event mod be made that could, idk, do something like register a brick's name as a class of a bot-spawning brick class, then when the event mod's input is triggered, it could affect the registered bricks.
I just pulled that out of my ass, I have no idea what I just said. If this somehow inspires someone with an idea on how to make what the OP wants, then by all means make it.
Or what about an event mod that is like relays, but works for vehicles an bots, where a brick is triggered, sends the bot/vehicle relay to the spawner, triggers an event on that brick, which then affects the bot/vehicle spawned on the brick.
Again, just throwing random ideas out there.
