well there is a difference between having a gun with you. and playing around with it Lol. you can't accidentally shoot something if you aren't holding it.
regarding all accidental discharges. Its usually common sense to never point a gun at someone. even if its unloaded, even disassembled to be cleaned. just never point it at yourself or another person. no need for rules and safety measures, a gun not pointed at a person, can't shoot them.
yet for some reason there are lifelong gun users that still manage to accidentally shoot themselves or a friend lol
that's what bothers me about toy guns. like kids instinctively know to hold you up, either to rob you or arrest you, its how the phrasing is done.
but every time a little kid does it, he just instinctively shoots it anyways.
the issues isn't about never let a kid have toys guns. its teach the damn kid to not point it at people Lol.
they get that muscle memory over time to just pull the trigger at every instance its pointed at a person. then they find and play with a real gun and they unintentionally shoot their friend because that's how they learned to use a gun.
