Why does everybody love phones to be ridiculously thin? Look at the Moto X. That phone is (from what I've heard from just about every reviewer) very comfortable to hold, but -gasp- it's not thin. Thin does not always equal comfortable.

They won't. iPhone users will stick with their apple devices because modular phones wouldn't be simple enough, and it doesn't have that "apple touch".

Though I would imagine apple would eventually catch on and join in, like, a couple years later if these kinds of phones were to become popular.

i'd make a dumb joke about how most apple users couldn't handle anything more complex or open than an iphone but 1) i'd sound like a richard and 2) i have a grand total of like 2 minutes on record of using an iphone or a mac

Yeah, some people do have legit reasons for liking apple products (and they really don't need valid reasons either, I mean it's really comes down to opinion) and they've gotten them for way cheaper than the high prices that they're infamous for.
