Author Topic: Looking for a GPU Upgrade - Geforce Gtx 760 or R9 270x?  (Read 763 times)

I'm looking for a new graphics card (video card) to upgrade, I currently have a Radeon HD 7770 card from AMD. Do you think I should get a Geforce GTX 760 or a R9 270x? They are about the same price, looked at some benchmarks looks like the Nvidia does a better job. Which one should I get?

Nvidia cards tend to have better cooling and last longer from my experience, so go for the 760.

NVIDIA drivers are better than AMD.

nvidia is better for the price

Oh man, definitely the 760. Why even ask.

I'll keep this post up for long, I see that the Nvidia is winning the poll. I'll get the Gtx 760 pretty soon and maybe run two in SLI. I would like to hear all of your thoughts guys.

Most of my games I run on my computer are designed to work with AMD cards and are very optimized on those cards as well. (Such as Tomb Raider, Deus Ex HR, Battlefield 4, Saints Row, etc.) I know that Nvidia cards will run those fine as well. At one point I did own the Geforce Gtx 560 TI for a secondary rig I built and I plan on replacing it with my HD 7770 once I get the GTX 760 or R9 270x.

I can agree with you. Especially with the technologies that Nvidia invented. Such as PhysX and I heard ShadowPlay is amazing.
