What I mean is that shadows become more prominent...
noo noo noo when you don't see anything at all when light is unable to reflect anything is when shadows are the most prominent because all you see is black your metaphor doesn't exactly work in its favor
i think it'd be better if it were like "Shadows are darkest when no light prevails" although you'd sound pretty lame and cheesy saying that but at least it makes sense
